Headed off!!!

I wanted to give you all a quick update on me! The last few years have been intense! In two years, I have learned more than I cared to about life in a fallen world, but I wouldn’t trade the spiritual growth and intimate friendships I have developed along the way. Thank you all for your support and prayers. . . they have accomplished more than you will ever know!

And now I am off on an adventure! I have been given the opportunity to work on the Mercy Ship for 5 months. I will leave the States on July 3^rd and fly to Sierra Leone where the Ship is docked. During these 5 months I will be working as a ward nurse on a surgical unit on the ship. The ship has a pediatrics ward an adult ICU a pediatric ICU, and a few more units that I'm sure I'm going to find out about once I get there!

I covet your prayers during this adventure of mine! I do want to ask specifically for prayers regarding

• dealing with the heat! Summer in Africa. Nuff Said.
• Learning about how medicine is practiced outside the US – and being flexible
• being away from family and friends - I'm praying the Lord will bless me with good friendships while on board.
• Safety – that I “come back in one piece ok” to quote my sister
