Ok, proof I'm here and not making it all up :-) Here are some views of Freetown from the deck of the Africa Mercy. The docks are surrounded by slums, and they rise up onto the mountainsides. Pretty amazing. The map on the wall shows the route that the ship used to take back in it's days when it was a Danish Royal ferry. Cool huh!

That's awesome lovey! I love the pics!
hmm, proof that your camera has been there... we're still having to assume that your the one actually taking the pictures! Thanks for sharing a bit of your corner of the world.
I love coming home from work and reading your latest blogs - today the pics were lovely - puts things in perspective.
I called Steph today cos I heard the voice of a little girl on the floor that sounded just like Elie - same timbre of voice, speaking jibberish just like her - I just wanted to make sure that she was at home with her mommy like she needed to be. And then she told me about your pics, so I eagerly drove home, made supper quickly and turned on the computer for the latest update - so cool.
Elie turned 18 months yesterday, and is still so sick with her tummy, yet she feels great and is very cheerful. Told Steph that Lionel had the same at that age, and gave up diapers/nappies as a result.
I am off tomorrow ad looking forward to church - we are going to Kara and Javier to do Nardeles birthday. She did not pass her driving test.
Love and hugs from a hot Chattanooga, Mom
